Macy's price errors, clearance & deals today
Macy's runs frequent sales on clothing, home goods, kitchenware, and beauty, with big events throughout the year. Its "was" prices can be tricky, so understanding the real price matters.

How Macy's deals and clearance work
Look at clearance, one-day sales, and promo codes on top of sale prices. Home and kitchen items can see big markdowns during major sale events.
Clothing and shoe deals at Macy's are mostly about timing and stacking. Past-season colors and odd sizes get the deepest markdowns, and promo codes can sometimes stack on top of sale prices.
Does Macy's honor price mistakes?
Macy's reserves the right to correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders. Be cautious with very deep "original price" comparisons and check price history where you can. We're deal hunters in East Tennessee, not lawyers, so take this as general info and read Macy's's current terms if you want the exact wording. Tips for cheap Macy's deals and discounts
- Judge the deal by the final price, not the percent off.
- Stack promo codes when allowed.
- Check free-shipping thresholds before adding filler.
- Check price history before trusting a "was" price.
- Buy normal, personal quantities. Big orders get flagged.
- Add up the final total with shipping and tax.
If Macy's cancels your order
It happens. Usually you'll get a cancel email and either a refund or an authorization hold that drops off on its own. Save your screenshots, give it a few business days, and reach out in writing if the money doesn't show up. Here's the full walkthrough: Price-error order got cancelled? Here's what to do.

How do I know a Macy's discount is real?
Check the item's price history with a price tracker, compare it at one or two other stores, and look at the final cart total with shipping and tax. A crossed-out "was" price alone doesn't prove much.
What happens if Macy's cancels my price-error order?
You should get a full refund, or the authorization hold on your card should drop off. Give it a few business days, keep your screenshots, and contact Macy's in writing if the money doesn't come back.
